"I loved this story and Vivi's mission to be a fierce protector of animals! Her story reminds us that compassion is a true superpower and that we each have the capacity to be real-life heroes to the animals who desperately need us to care more. Vivi's idealism and the charming illustrations reflect a harmony between people and animals that I dream about!"

"Tina Newman's new storybook about the adventures of Vivi and the Planet Protector is the most beautiful way to make the problems of the human/animal interaction accessible for children. I had a hard time reading due to teary eyes. Beautiful."

"Vivi and the Planet Protector is such an inspiring, educational and touching story delivering a message of positivity through peaceful and proactive adventures. I started my vegan journey at 6 years old - if only there could have been a Vivi for me to reach out to then. Vivi is definitely my new hero!"

"A beautiful story to capture the hearts and imaginations of children. The inspiring illustrations, characters, and empowering words, help both to make children aware of ways we harm animals and our planet, and to bring forth their innate care for and desire to protect them. A much needed narrative in today's world."

"This book provides a positive role model for vegan children who have very few characters in literature to relate to. It deals with the impact that our choices have on animals in an indirect and subtle way - suitable for children. There are no scary scenes at the slaughterhouse, no scaremongering. It doesn't go into graphic detail about what happens to animals but my five year old said after reading it, 'I think the piglet's mummy was sent to a shop and made into ham'. That utterly broke my heart and made me realise that with just a little information, children are intelligent and compassionate enough to make humane choices all by themselves."

"A fabulous new children’s book has taken over storytime in our home! ’Vivi The SUPERVEGAN’ is the sweetest and most heart touching book! Vivi is a little girl with some BIG powers and she uses them to help animals and teach humans about the suffering they are causing! A perfect addition to your child’s library. Highly recommended!"

"In today’s society we meet people who have different cultures, beliefs, lifestyles and traditions. It is so important that we educate young children and give them the opportunity to widen their knowledge and have understanding about the world around us, and to be respectful of the similarities and differences we all share. Those of you that are Early Years educators will know of the early learning goals, one of which is people and communities. ‘children... know about similarities and differences between themselves and others, and among families, communities and traditions’. Books like Vivi the Supervegan give us the opportunity to educate our children, celebrate different lifestyles/beliefs and provide inclusivity. I am also a big believer in supporting others who work so hard - Tina has created this book with passion and determination, she has worked tirelessly to self-publish and I really do wish her great success on her new venture! Beautifully illustrated too."
